Fun Birthday and Date Night

Leopold is being a total faker. He always knows what he is getting. There is absolutely no way to fool him. I've tried a million different ways and I've finally given up.
Our stereo is very old. I found this one at Target that looks old but not only has a turntable for those big CD's (that is what Sasha called them when she was little), but also a CD, cassette player and a place for your MP3 player (he doesn't have one of those). Leopold should have lived during the US expansion west. He would have loved that life. Living off the land, riding in a wagon train. I just don't think I would have been a good wife for him then. I am a creature of comfort. I'm not so sure I would have been able to give up the "comforts" the east had to offer to forge out into the great unknown of the west.For our date we went to a Japanese restaurant where they cook at your table. Always a lot of fun. We also ate some wonderful Sushi. Our chef was very entertaining. He called this the volcano. You can see why.


Then we went to see the Aeros gymnastics show. It was so good and I highly recommend it. They didn't allow photography for the safety of the performers, but there are great pics on their website (I'm sure I couldn't have gotten ones this good). If you get a chance to see them, don't miss it.

Happy Birthday Leopold

Today is Leopold's birthday. Tonight we will have a date, Mom will keep the kids for us. We are going to dinner and a play (I'll post pics later of our evening). I'm excited. We haven't had a chance for a date in a long time. The kids are bummed because they want to go but sometimes Mommy and Daddy need some adult time. The poem below is one that I used to make a scrapbook for Leopold several Father's Days ago. To me it says so much about him. I love him so much and I'm so glad that I get to spend today and every today after this one with him.

Happy Birthday Grammy

Today is Grammy's birthday. She does so much for us and we love her very much. She just had surgery on her foot yesterday and is in some pain so please pray that her pain will be lessened. Happy Birthday!

Tonight we celebrated my dad's birthday with him. We got a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake and he blew out the candles (only 14 since we didn't want to set the house on fire). A good time was had by all.
Got them out all in one blow.

Today is my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Dad. We love you. He tries to act all tough but is really just a big teddy bear that loves his family. We are reading right through you. We know you are a big softie.

Happy 3rd Birthday B!

These are my beautiful nieces. The one with the glasses is B and today is her birthday. She is a leap year baby and we like to tease her that she is only 3 years old. She is really 12. We love you sweet girl and the girls are so excited about your birthday party tonight. Love you!
