Proud Parent Moment

Several weeks ago Yellow Bird began working around the house and neighborhood to raise money for charity. She even recruited her sister and friend to assist her. She said that God had put earning money for others in her heart. I was proud of her but truly thought that she would want to use the money for the Nintendo DS she wants so badly. She was true to her word though and used the money she raised to buy toys for the children's hospital where The Mini Mister lived for so long. She was a little disappointed in how little her money bought (a good financial life lesson) but it made her more determined to earn more money so she can buy more toys. I'm so very proud of her. We delivered the toys today. We are now collecting Pamper points so she can give the free diapers we get to someone in need. We go through lots of Pamper's at work so I'm collecting them there. I have many co-workers gathering them for me and Yellow Bird will put them in the computer so we can earn free diapers for those in need. She has a huge heart of gold. Feel free to forward any Pamper's points you might have and aren't using. The number is in the inside of the diaper packs. You just peel it off. So, if any of you have extra points lying around, send them my way. I'll keep you posted on the diapers we are able to give away.

Dance Recital

The girls have their dance recital today. Dress rehearsal was yesterday. We can't take pictures at the actual recital so these are from the rehearsal. They were so excited.

VBS

We went to the Parent Night at a VBS the girls went to. They had fun and it is always great to watch our girls in action. Of course The Mini Mister had to do his own show. The Mini Mister with our friend Julie.

Both the girls did sign language with their songs. They did a good job.

Around the yard

The sand pile is disappearing as Leopold uses it around the yard. The girls are enjoying it while it is still here. Flower bed out front.


We are ready for summer and are enjoying this beautiful weather.

A Cowgirl and her Friend

Yellow Bird's friend came over to play today. Nothing beats a good friend. What always amazes me is that these two are the same age. Yellow Bird is off the growth charts one way and her friend the other way. God makes us so different. Viva La Difference!

OK, well we got a little distracted with the Little Mister at home but Yellow Bird's room is almost done. Leopold made all of the molding and is taping off to paint the trim. Now I just need to find the other roll of border I ordered so I can finish that part. I truly have no idea where I put it. A safe place I'm sure. If only I knew where that was. I guess it is safe from even me. I found this light switch on ebay. It matches her border.
